Hat tricks, sunset mist, and meal moments

First two pretty snapshots from last night at nest #3, with the resident female Taika incubating her eggs as mist engulfs the swamp around the nest tree at sunset. It's been another hot day.

Then to nest #4, where the chicks' dad Nemo finally makes an appearance in a screenshot, though he has been keeping the nest well supplied with fish. Nemo is on the left, mom Nuppu feeding the chicks. Nuppu has a metal band (🎶🎸) on her right leg, Nemo is not banded.

Osplet event

The first chick of the season has hatched at the Sääksilive Osprey nests today! Here's the little one's first feeding.

And first falling on its back. Also an important milestone.

The osplet's parents are Nuppu (mom appearing in screenshots) and Nemo at nest #4, the same pair who nested there last year, and there are still two more eggs to incubate. Nests #1 and #3 are also occupied this year and are starting to be ready for their clutches to hatch, too. Nest #5/LS did have two eggs, but they didn't make it to hatching, so no chicks there this year, and nest #2 is empty.

The lads wanted me to make an Indominus rex, so I did. Here she is facing her first storm. How much will it freak her out, I wonder...

This and the last three posts are technically a challenge mode game (or two, Muerta and Muerta East), though they're actually in sandbox. For some reason challenge mode crashes my game (I tried uninstalling all mods - and haven't reinstalled all of them yet - but it didn't help, and I have played challenge mode with at least some of them installed before without problems), so I made a sandbox game as close to challenge mode settings as I could (chance of failed incubations is turned off, though, because fuck that) because that's what I felt like playing. I turn sandboxier settings like infinite cash and dinosaur lifespan back on once I've reached five stars.

I guess I've already unlocked at least almost everything I care about unlocking with actual challenge mode, though I would have liked to still beat Tacaño Research Facility on Jurassic, to get that Spinoraptor skin that looks like a ripe banana, very cute.
