Chirping simulator

The humans of Pleasantview are getting curious about their raptor neighbors again. Or perhaps Cassandra Goth simply has a special ability to spot other goths.

Tumult reassures Indo that her dad also sets the kitchen on fire a lot while cooking.

Painting Soft steps and Daydreamer

I'd say painting adult Soft steps and Daydreamer, but I never painted their baby figures (except Soft steps' pupils). But, yes, that's who these two are!

First, eyes, for some reason. Soft steps' eyes are very pale, so I painted over them with white before giving them their correct colour, to cover well the orange. Daydreamer's eyes were, on closer inspection, a little off their intended placement, so I had to touch them up, too, despite not changing the colour, but it would have bothered me otherwise. Both have glow-in-the-dark paint on their eyes - Daydreamer as a thin line around the pupil (not visible in normal lighting because it's translucent and close to the yellow in colour), and Soft steps over the entire iris.

Like with Tumult, I also covered up Soft steps' epoxy putty additions, and the dark stripes where I'll paint her base colour instead, with off-white before starting on her actual colours.

Extreme measures

New birbs on the waiting to be repainted shelf of bookless dinocase. By the time you're reading this, I've already started painting them, but here's a "before" shot. Both may look familiar:

The one on the left is an Extreme Damage JW raptor, another of which I repainted into Tumult last year. Like with Tumult's figure, I first patched up the extreme damage feature, using foil as filler and epoxy putty as sculpting material, and fixed a balance issue with one of the feet.

The one on the right is a Savage Strike JW raptor, whom I've had for a while now, but now I finally know who it's going to become. Kind of strange it took so long, considering this figure is actually pretty much perfect for the character. The other one is going to need to become a very different colour, but picking the same sculpt as Tumult's figure felt fitting, in more than just that I like how it looks.

Things to say and see

Shake necks to greet the new sauropod in the enclosure.
Extreme Off-road Experience, now at Jurassic World! (I spotted them like this while checking on a feeder, I'm guessing the Brachiosaurus kicked them into the pond while walking across their tour path.)

She scream!

Wake her up when the sun comes out again

The lads wanted me to make an Indominus rex, so I did. Here she is facing her first storm. How much will it freak her out, I wonder...

Oh.
They weren't kidding, those genes sure can comfort.
This and the last three posts are technically a challenge mode game (or two, Muerta and Muerta East), though they're actually in sandbox. For some reason challenge mode crashes my game (I tried uninstalling all mods - and haven't reinstalled all of them yet - but it didn't help, and I have played challenge mode with at least some of them installed before without problems), so I made a sandbox game as close to challenge mode settings as I could (chance of failed incubations is turned off, though, because fuck that) because that's what I felt like playing. I turn sandboxier settings like infinite cash and dinosaur lifespan back on once I've reached five stars.

I guess I've already unlocked at least almost everything I care about unlocking with actual challenge mode, though I would have liked to still beat Tacaño Research Facility on Jurassic, to get that Spinoraptor skin that looks like a ripe banana, very cute.

Herding herbivores

Apatosaurus volunteering as tour guide.

A bunch of my ceratopsians escaped during a storm, and as I was transporting them back to their repaired enclosure, I saw my one Trike who stayed behind also lying down. Did I order her to be tranqed, too, by accident? No, just asleep. All of this commotion is just too boring for her.

Pretty Styracosaurus is pretty.
A transporting mishap.
I'm sure it's fine! :D
(It was: when the chopper reached the location where they were supposed to release the Corythosaurus, the animation for the Cory to be released played where the Cory was, which fortunately was inside an enclosure, and a herbivore one, too. Then I had to tranq her again and give moving her to her intended enclosure another try, which worked. Not sure what the problem was the first time. Someone's been sparing expenses on the equipment, it seems.)
Also: the mods for the Apatosaurus and Styracosaurus.
