Screenshots from the Sydney White-bellied Sea-eagle nest from the past week. SE27 and SE28 are eight weeks old, with older eaglet SE27 turning nine weeks tomorrow.

SE27 preening. The fluffy white patches in their juvenile plumage are getting fewer and they're starting to look like proper birds of prey.

SE27(left) and SE28 at breakfast. They got a feeding with this one instead of being left with a prey to eat on their own, but both chicks have been standing while eating now.

SE28 tries to take the prey back by pulling on its leg, but SE27 has a firm grip on the body with their talons.

Both spot a parent.

And both end up getting food, with SE27 self-feeding on the previous prey and SE28 getting fed from a new one.

From this morning. SE28 (left) and SE27 are having breakfast by picking at leftovers found in the nest.

SE28 watches SE27 eat and seems to plot stealing their snack, but soon finds one of their own. Both hold the food with their feet while standing, and tear off pieces.
