Mantles and mantling with the SWFL eaglets

M15 brings a roadkill rabbit. E20 is quick to mantle it for himself, hunching over the food and covering it with his wings.

But E19 is quick, too...

...at stealing it!

M lets the eaglets figure the food out on their own for a while. E19 starts self-feeding.

Harriet drops to the nest, and feeds most of the rabbit to E19. E20 is behind mom here.

Harriet has a loose enough grip on the pelt that's left that E20 steals it! Mantles, and quickly swallows it down. Good job!

Both eaglets are now seven weeks old. They're not at their full size yet, but their beaks and feet are starting to be, and the rest of the body will catch up.
