N1/URA fledges!

Warm-up leaps.

After a moment of considering, she spreads her wings again...

And she's off!

N2 and N3 track her circling the nest.

There she is.

Coming in for a landing. Do they think she has fish?

A graceful touchdown. Well done!

Nuppu chirps at them from where she's perched on the camera.

Reply.

A bit later Nuppu jumps down to the nest, and has some things to say to the chicks. She made aggressive vocalizations, and a few lunges that didn't connect.

N3 talks back.

Nuppu goes back to the camera. What that was about, only the birds know for sure. Certainly not as intense as her behavior during her oldest chick's fledging in her second nesting season, but the timing seems to indicate it's related to the fledge.

N1, N3, N2; loafing and preening. N2 tried to lie back down, but N3's wing was in the way, so he just ended up with his beak in sibling's armpit for a moment.

Nemo brings a fish, N1 and Nuppu have a brief tug-a-fish before Nuppu begins feeding the chicks.

Intruder alert interrupts the meal. Nuppu and the chicks scream at them together.

Back to feeding.

Also here's some earlier screenshots I was going to have at the beginning of the post, before N1 went and made more front-page-worthy news, lol.

At nest #1 two days ago, Eve feeding Utu, Lumme wingercizing.

Eura (front) at the nest with the family yesterday morning, chicks stretching their wings over each other.

Eve perching on the leg that had the wound on it, so I'm guessing it doesn't hurt to stand on. The other leg is tucked in belly feathers for warmth.

N3 tries to pick up a stick, but N1 is lying on top of it.
