Two clever girls per sequel

That is, each Jurassic Park sequel possibly features two female raptors. It's not made very clear and the raptors in those movies are usually talked about by fans like there's just one in each, so some notes on that to clarify.

Mini theropods with mini arms

I decided to give some more colour to the T. rex mini that (despite not being feathered) came in the Safari Ltd. feathered dinosaurs tube, and a JWFK Carnotaurus minifigure.

RaptorCon

After the latest addition to my raptor shelf, I thought it would be fun to have a little meet and greet photoshoot for all my raptor figures. It was!

Dare and Dash meet a Velociraptor, a Deinonychus, and a Dakotaraptor.

Most and least accurate super-articulated raptors, perhaps exchanging tips on dealing with stiff joints.

Big and tiny eaglets on different sides of the world

The whole family, parents and the two already fledged juveniles, slept at the nest tree last night at SWFL Bald Eagle cam. Screenshot from this morning. Mom and dad Harriet and M on the higher branch with E16 between them, below at the nest/the veranda branch E15 requests breakfast.

Meanwhile the Sydney White-bellied Sea-eagle cam has two little hatchlings I think I'll keep an eye on. The older chick SE25 hatched on July 26th, and the younger SE26 on July 28th. The adults of this species are also really beautiful! Warning for some partially eaten fish in the zoomed out (last 3) screenshots, though, if you would like to avoid seeing that.

Late birthday present

Months late, but I don't mind. The important part is - she's here!

Eagle pool party

Some moments from SWFL Bald Eagle cam yesterday. The fledglings are still hanging around for now, but it's starting to be the time where they could leave for their big eagle adventure any day now (or they could continue to live at home and enjoy free food for several more weeks, only time will tell).

Dad brought a bird prey to the pond, and after a scuffle between the eaglets, E15 claimed it. E16 got some fish later. Though the food is caught for them and brought to them, there's always at least a little bit of "stealing" behavior in receiving the food deliveries, whether it's towards their sibling or the parent. That's great for preparing them for eventually being on their own. Here's E15 guarding her breakfast on the left, E16 is in the middle, and dad M on the right.
