Screenshots from Satakunta Osprey cams, mostly from the last few days. Warning for headless fishes again.
Talon pillow.
Misty morning of the day N2 turned one month old.
Preening chest feathers.
Big stretch, showing off the new plumage quite well, too.
Ahti visits the nest and takes the half-eaten fish with him. It's safer to not keep it in the nest all the time, attracting thieves.
Nuppu with N2.
And from yesterday. Glad N2 likes to hang out close to the camera, lots of good closeup time.Neck preen. N2's juvenile plumage is starting to look pretty complete!
Ahti brings a fish, and Nuppu feeds N2.
Another family gathering in the evening. Ahti is closer to the camera in the first and on the right in the second screenshot. The parents exchanged some chirps, and Ahti moved a few sticks, but N2 had the most to say this time, chirping near non-stop for a bit. No idea what the topic was, but a discussion was had.
N2 doing wing exercises in the middle of the night. No parents at the nest, but at least one of them is perched in the trees on the right.
Nuppu, N2 behind her, and a beautiful sunrise.
N2 stretching a wing over mom's back, showing off how big those have already grown. And indeed N2 is getting so big now that banding is scheduled for the beginning of next week!
Also some bird activity at nest #1:
A pair of shrikes (Lanius excubitor).
And Ossi (closer to camera) stopping by with a new girlfriend! No fish gift this time, but he brought some nest building material. They stayed for about two minutes, looked around, then left at the same time. The female has a band on her left leg.

Why am I proud of N2 I'm not even their parent... also a bit curious what was that discussion was about.
Didn't know those little "butchers" lived that far up north.
