It's a little hard to see without movement, but A3 (middle) and A1 (front) are having a tug-o-war with a fish piece. A3 won, and mom gave A1 a new piece right after. Plenty of food, but a bit of fighting over it every now and then is instinctual. Haven't really seen much bonking since their very earliest days together, though.
Alma feeding A3, A1 sleeping. Can you spot A2? Behind Alma near the middle of her back. Good camoflage!
Butt huddle.
Alma looking at her little dinosaurs. A3, A2, A1 from left to right. Crops full after feeding, watching the world around them and falling asleep against the nest rails.
Almbrella during yesterday's rains. She somehow still fits all three chicks under her!
The chicks alone for a moment as mom goes for a bathroom break. A2 on the left, A3 on the right, A1 at the back.
Fish time! (Ossi left, Alma right. Chicks are in order of age from left to right.)
Lined up for fish today, too (A3, A1, A2 left to right). I think they're probably now the fluffiest they're going to get, with their second coat of down grown in. Juvenile plumage of pennaceous feathers is next.
At nest #3, dad Ahti got a little brooding time with baby N2 today.
He did a good job at it, until one pretty awkward shift of position earned him N2's disapproval, and the little 6-day-old bit him as feedback!

Accompanied by the most pissed off squeaky-toy-noises you can imagine.

Lol, N2 is probably the only thing of that size group in Finland that can bite Ahti and live to tell the tale! :D
