Widening wings

Their mom Nuppu has started spending her nights perched on the camera, with the chicks alone in the nest. They're old enough to not need brooding anymore.

Dad Niilo (right) brings a fish, but before the meal can begin, there's would-be fish thieves to deal with. Yelling at them and covering the fish usually works.

Una doesn't seem to be very hungry, so Jouko gets to start this one.

Eventually she joins in, quite peacefully, and looks like she scored the fish's tail.

As well as wingers. The chicks are getting closer to fledging each day, and those flight muscles need building.

Get some sleep, young lady. Tomorrow's a new day of fish-eating, wingers, sibling-annoying, and learning to how to osprey.

Una is now five weeks old, and Jouko will turn five weeks tomorrow. Osplets fledge at about eight weeks old, so still a while until then.
