Bald eaglets big and small

Some more screenshots from the SWFL and West End Bald eagle nests. Warning for close views of prey in the latter.

First SWFL's 11-week old branch climbers. Cute closeups of younger eaglet E20, perching on the "veranda" branch.

E19 meanwhile perches on the "spike" branch.
E20 returns to the nest briefly, and they both dig around for leftovers (E20 in the middle of the nest looking up), then return to their respective branches.

E19 doing wing exercises, E20 looks at her upside down, lol.
E19 opens her wings (and does a quick poop shoot to make herself lighter, good thinking), and jumps...

...to the veranda next to E20! Well done!
Careful where you flap those wings, E20.
Both preening.

At the West End nest, dad Akecheta feeding his much younger clutch of three. The oldest is a week old now, and the middle chick will be tomorrow, while the youngest is only three days old here.

Both parents feeding! The chicks are mostly focused on their mom Thunder, but Akecheta wants to help.

Akecheta feeding alone again. He's getting the hang of it!
That was a pretty big piece, but the chick got it down.
Feeding the youngest, too.
Thunder on the left feeding the chicks, Akecheta on the right giving the little ones a lesson in defeathering bird prey.

Thunder feeding.
And another tandem feeding. The chicks got bites from both parents, who each have their own fish. I think that's the youngest chick Thunder is feeding, while Akecheta has the older two's attention.

Proud parents at sunset. Chicks safely tucked under dad, and soon under mom for the night.
