Both parents present for a feeding at the
Big Bear nest. Shadow brought a coot, and Jackie is feeding the chick that. Shadow picks up a fish from the pantry and tries to offer the chick bites, but the little one is turned away from him and still too uncoordinated to turn between parents to get the best of both feedings.
Shadow takes a piece of coot from Jackie and tries to give it to the chick. No luck.
Jackie tries taking it back, but the piece gets dropped in the nest and eventually Shadow eats it himself. It was a bit big for the chick anyway. But good try.
Eventually Shadow decides the chick and egg have been exposed to the cold for long enough, and covers them.
Jackie eats some more herself, then tries to get her brooding shift back, it seems. She puts a stick on Shadow, but he doesn't budge, so she leaves him to it for a while longer and goes take care of eagle business outside the nest.

A piece the chick caught was too big after all, so Jackie takes it back.

Baby looks so grumpy about getting woken up from its nap. But raptor chicks always do.
Oh, there's food? Why didn't you say so!
Time for another warm nap. Shadow takes over brooding, and has one more shift before Jackie returns to brood overnight.
