Small wingers and cuddles

The chick at the Big Bear Bald eagle nest is between two and three weeks old, and growing fast. Thermal down has grown in, and so the chick needs less brooding, especially when the weather is warm. Warning for prey in the nest, but not in focus.

Pin feathers are starting to emerge at the tips of the wings.
