In anticipation of banding at West End eagle nest

The West End Bald eagle triplets sitting together. WE1, WE2, WE3 l-r. The youngest eaglet WE3 turned six weeks old yesterday. Banding is planned for either this afternoon (April 24th) or tomorrow morning (by local time at the nest, which is in California)!

Looking forward to seeing what's shown of the banding, and finding out any information that can be gathered by measuring the eaglets, such as potentially their genders. My guess for now is that WE1 and WE3 are female and WE2 is male. ETA: got two out of three - WE3 is male.
