Nestlings, fledglings, and company

Screenshots from Sääksilive Osprey nests. Includes views of fish prey.

A Red admiral butterfly (Vanessa atalanta) visits N2/USU at nest #4.

N2 with mom yesterday evening.
Hi there.
Morning preens.
A fish delivery by Nemo.

(N2 has a bit of blood on his front, yes. It's from a previous fish.)
Intruders looking for free fish?
Both parents have been bringing N2 lots of food, and he had just eaten, so he wasn't hungry at the moment. Nemo stayed at the nest with him for a while and ate the fish himself.

Father-son time Osprey style: looking around together.
Wingers by N2! The left wing is still stiff and doesn't seem to rise as high as the right, but it looked better than it has recently, and he was actually flapping both wings again.

Nuppu brings a fish, and now N2 would like some.

Snoozing with mom.

Yesterday evening at nest #1. Eve with the chicks, Utu eating and Lumme perching. Both chicks slept at the nest last night.

Lumme returns from a morning flight.
And goes for another.
Lumme and Eve.
One of the fledglings perching on a branch below the nest.
Utu (left/back) and Lumme sending a fish order.
Dad spotted!
With fish!
Lumme misses a bit and grabs dad's toe instead.
Eura makes a quick getaway when she lets go.
