Visits and wingers in the rain

Screenshots from Sääksilive Osprey nests. Includes views of fish prey.

Lumme and Utu at nest #1 yesterday, each eating their own fish on a rainy evening.

The weather seemed to give them the zoomies, as there was a lot of wingercizing by the already fledged chicks on the nest. It was quite windy, too, and I guess getting the wind under their wings made rising in the air really easy.

Lumme hops to the other side of the nest.
Dual wingers.
They look so funny all soaked.
Lumme hovering.
Now Utu.
This morning, Eve brings a fish, and Lumme is quick to claim it. Both chicks slept in a tree again, and only showed up when there was breakfast.

Mantling her prize. Utu turned up soon after, but too late.
Lumme at the balcony when Eura brings a fish.
This time Utu is the first one to grab it. Lumme hops to the nest, but Utu already has dibs.

"Go away! My fish!"
Utu eating, Lumme back at the balcony.

A bird sighting at nest #4, after N2/USU moved out yesterday. A little Kestrel.
And Nuppu today. She didn't stay for long, just checking things. With no chicks to care for now, I wonder how long she'll stick around, and Nemo hasn't been seen today, so they may both be migrating soon. If they already have since this screenshot, I wish them a safe journey.
Also an update on N2/USU (in Finnish). He's at Pyhtään Lintuhoitola, a wildlife rehabilitation center specialized in birds, further updates pending.
